Aussie Athletes Shine at Wollongong 2025

Racing on home soil and rising to the occasion.

Last week we saw the 2025 World Triathlon Finals taking place in Wollongong, and with it we saw an eruption of incredible competition in the Illawarra Coast.

From youngsters taking to the world stage for the first time, ambitious SCODY ambassadors, and elite athletes, having the chance to race at home in front of friends and family certainly electrified the atmosphere. Let’s have a look at a rundown of the standout Aussie performances from the Gong!

Australia’s Standout Performances

We have the elite race results like Matt Hauser’s outstanding World Championship win to be proud of, and the amazing performance of Richelle Hill winning the world U23 and the endless good results from Team Australia that we’re thrilled to be sharing.

Obviously, the major highlight of the week was Matt Hauser’s win in the Elite Championships; however, Luke Willian, with a top 20 finish, was also an impressive performance in our eyes in a seriously competitive race.
